Enhancing your shared listening experience
Listening to music with a group should be fun. However, every individual has different music preferences in different settings. Some users have strong preferences, others have little. Some songs do not fit within the setting, while others do. In order to support creating the right queue at the right time, we created Q and I.
Our design facilitates leverage to discussions by showing authorship in the queue on its shared interfaces. Each colored row on the speaker represents a song in the queue. Every user present in the current setting can be assigned to a color, giving them an identity within the system. In this way, everyone can put in their favorite vibes, while others are made aware when changes are made in the queue.
Q and I is the perfect music system for you and your friends, enriching your shared listening experience.
Q and I is the result of extensive concepting sessions, multiple user researches and design iterations. The real challenge of this project to create a better expierence than already present in this specific context. After field deployments of our design, our goal of enhancing this experience was proven to be reached.
My role within the design team encompassed designing both the GUI and its interactions, as well as setting up and conducting several user tests. In this way, our concept and final design could be validated and iterated upon.
